Chris Pirnie teaches online survey courses at Lamar. His passion for history revolves around the subjects of racial and cultural empathy. His M.A. thesis, titled "Lumberton, Texas: Sundown Suburb," is a racial history of a "bedroom community" north of Beaumont.
